Tèra de prie

“Tèra de prie” it’s Ligurian dialect. It means “land of stones”: billions of stones stacked up in ancient times to make the dry stone terraces, locally called “fasce”.
The need to remove the stones from the ground and leave flat and clean spaces created the perfect sun exposure and water drainage for the Taggiasca olive in the Maro Valley.
